Come Meet My Georgia Friends!

Thursday, June 19, 2014
Exciting news!! I've joined 25 fabulous Georgia teachers in a blog hop full of freebies and fun! Welcome to the peach state, friends!
About 8 years ago, my husband and I made Marietta our home. We love it here! We are in the 'burbs right outside Atlanta and it is the perfect place for our little family!
We can see the Braves and the Falcons, visit Six Flags, Stone Mountain, World of Coke, the Georgia Aquarium, Dahlonega (first Gold Rush!) and more in just a short drive. It's awesome....ya know, except for that whole Atlanta traffic thing!

So what's a blog hop without a freebie, right? I'm sharing my visualization freebie! You can download this first grade favorite here.

We'd also like to give you a chance to win a bushel basket full of our products. To enter from my page, you just need to follow My Mommy Reads on Facebook! Easy! You can enter once from each person's blog! Check out all these peachy prizes!

  1. Love the freebie, Lyssa!! I'm just right down the road from you - and yes, the traffic is atrocious. Good thing the rest of the cool stuff balances it out :) Thanks for sharing!

  3. I love your freebie! I work on visualizing a lot with students who struggle with comprehension. I cannot wait to use this resource. Thanks!

I grew up in Woodstock. You and my family are practically neighbors! Marietta Square used to be one of my favorite hang-out spots.

  4. Your freebie is wonderful! I love teaching visualization, and my students are always really excited about it! We love Marietta for all the same reasons you do - proximity to everything, but still get a "small-town" feel. We're about 15 minutes from Marietta! Next time I'm driving through the Square, I'll give a honk just for you! :)

  6. You are right in the heart of it all! So glad to meet you through our HOP :) We are planning on a Braves, Six Flag, and White Water trip soon, so I may have to holler at ya if we get lost...LOL. I am not too good with all of that traffic - we only have one traffic light in my town... haha!

  7. You're in the opposite direction of GA than me. I"m way down south. Thanks for the freebie!

  8. I love Dahlonega. Being so close, we go there often. Don't you just love small mountain towns!
